Circular Economy for an Industry 5.0 Demonstrator

This project develops a circular economy implementation concept for the IoT Factory, a cyber-physical system that mimics industry-relevant manufacturing processes at a smaller scale for research. The objective is to combine environmental sustainability with economic viability by defining a material flow strategy for identifying, validating, and reintegrating components from manufactured products. The project explores potential circular economy use cases for the IoT Factory demonstrator and identifies the requirements, limitations, and challenges associated with their implementation. The resulting framework supports the adoption of sustainability principles within Industry 5.0 manufacturing environments.
